Are illnesses covered?

This insurance would cover you if you died as a result of an accident. It does not cover death from sickness, disease or natural causes.

Am I covered while I am on the job?

Yes. The coverage is inforce 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, worldwide.

How much additional coverage may I enroll for?

You may enroll for coverage from $10,000 to $300,000.

Is there an upper age cutoff for this coverage?

No. However, all coverage amounts reduce to 50% when the insured reaches age 70 and to 25% at age 75. If you are currently age 70 or older, the coverage amount is 50% of the amount shown; if age 75 or older, the coverage amount is 25% of the amount shown. Premiums remain the same.

When will my coverage be effective?

Your basic coverage will be effective on the first regular billing date following receipt of your enrollment form by the Plan Administrator.

Any Additional Coverage will be effective on the first regular billing date following receipt of your enrollment form by the Plan Administrator, provided you first month’s premium has been paid when due.

What does the additional coverage cost?

The coverage costs $1.27 per month for each $10,000 of protection for the individual plan and $1.92 per month for each $10,000 for family protection.

Is the additional coverage also just for Accidental Death and Dismemberment?

Yes. However, if you select Additional Coverage, there are extra benefits included: Escalator, Common Carrier, Seatbelt, Spouse Retraining, Education, and Rehabilitation.

Who is eligible for the $3,000 No-cost benefit for 1 year basic benefit?

All customers age 18 and over are eligible for the no-cost basic benefit. On joint accounts, the Primary customer must be the one to enroll.

How do I pay for additional coverage?

The premiums will be automatically deducted from the account that you specify at the end of the enrollment process.

What does the insurance plan cover?

This insurance covers loss of life or dismemberment as the result of a covered accident.

May I keep my coverage if I close my account?

If you close your account, you will no longer be eligible for the $3,000 no-cost for 1 year Basic Benefit; however, you may continue to keep your Additional Coverage as long as premiums continue to be paid.

May I have more than one $3,000 No-cost basic for 1 year benefit if I have more than one account?

No. Each Primary Customer may have only one Basic benefit.

Who can be the beneficiary?

If you own the policy, then you can name whoever you want as the beneficiary. While many people choose only their spouse, it is possible to name more than one person as a beneficiary.
